Are these awesome or what?

I just downloaded it from windows update for the first time and I'm well impressed. :D

Any good sites to download new ones?

I was going to make a thread about this today. I just bought a copy of Vista Ultimate and am looking foward to trying this dreamscene out but I am a little worried about the decrease in power/performance etc that this will do. Does anyone know if there are any big drawbacks?

Very little CPU cycles are taken if you use a high-definition clip and have got an ATi GPU which supports AVIVO video acceleration (you'll need to download the AVIVO package as well as the drivers of course). I believe to get the same acceleration out of an nV GPU you need to purchase PureVideo.

Dreamscene uses the GPU not the CPU thats all I know.

I have an ATi Radeon X1800 I dont know if I have what you say though? AVIVO video acceleration you say it is correct? I will have to look into that.

Just annoying it will not work with dual graphics cards. I've got a 1900xtx powering my main screen and lcd tv output, and a basic 1300 running my 17" email / msn screen and if I try to turn on dreamscene it complains about not running with my gfx setup.

I noticed it’s very light on resource’s. If you cover it up with a window CPU usage drops to 1% or less. Load up a game and the video goes on pause.
