vista drivers issue

hey guys,

am running xp pro at the mo and have a free partition on which i wish to install rc2 of vista.

I have burned the image to a disk and am trying to install from it. i just ran the autorun from my computer and tried to install that way.

The installer informs me that i need sata drivers for my drive F:

I tried using the winxp sata driver disk but didnt work.

How would i go about getting sata drivers for vista? Its a gigabyte mobo

also i have a 64-bit amd xp3000 cpu.. does that mean i should be using the 64-bit version of vista?

Nah you're probably better testing the 32bit version. Less hassle.

Which mobo is it?

vista installation keeps crashing around 20% mark.. any ideas what could be wrong?

I am running the setup.exe from a dvd
