Vista dropping Wireless Internet connection

Hey, I have a Dell Vostro 1700 laptop running Vista SP1 and the Wireless Internet connection keeps dropping out after browsing for a random amount of time. It then can't see my wireless network again until I restart the computer. Does anyone know anymore about this or a fix for it?

I would try more recent drivers if there are any - check the Dell site.

I had an almost identical problem when putting Vista SP1 on a Mac Pro.

It would connect /disconnect and the speed would vary wildly, it made browsing the net impossible.

Turns out the Windows drivers were the culprit. I uninstalled them, and installed the latest drivers from a USB stick.

Actually only seems to happen when I'm running on Battery and the connection is fine when plugged in...

Sounds like its power saving. Disable it in the advanced properties of your wireless adaper in device manager.
