Just to day I TRIED to put Xp on as dual boot just so I can play BF2142 as I just got back in to it big time again,as vista and BF2142 is so so soooo bad and lagy only game I have had problems with.

Now here my problem If I install vista then XP or that will load up is XP I dont get at any point to chose Xp or vista.

Now if I install Xp then vista vista just loads up and I never at any point get the 30secs to chose my OS

I pulling my hair out at this point and have google some stuf but they dont work or not complet guides or they are guides from vista beta

This depends on your set-up if you have two drives, you should be able to select which drive to boot from, if so you can then switch drives and install whichever OS, when ever. If you have either Patitions or two drivers, you should install XP first and activate etc, then install Vista on 2nd drive or partition. You should then be presented with a boot menu where you can select "Earlier version of windows".

You can always check your Vista boot menu from "System Configuration" in "Administration tools" in control panel.

Oh and XP will trash Vista's restore points if you boot into it.
