today i decided to have a go at raid 0, which i managed succesfully :D

so on installing xp i made 3 partitions from my 400GB ish array

40gb f: which ive put xp on (and im just d/l drivers again)

40gb g: which im planning to install vista on

292gb h: for games and apps

so what shall i do next to install vista? do i just restart with vista in my dvd drive ?

thanks in advance

set boot from cd/dvd in the bios.away you go
i recommend unticking automatically activate windows/vista at the begining of the install, that way you get 30 days to change any hardware without all the faffing about if the install goes **** up :D

i went ahead and just booted up with vista disk in and...... wow it worked :D

so now when i boot i get post screen followed by a new raid screen then an options screen where i can choose vista or "an older version of windows"

i cant belive it was so easy to set up raid 0 and a dual boot os

but ive been at it since 2.00 pm its now 11.30 pm and im still installing drivers etc

worth it tho, now im ready for dx10 gaming and i can still play dx9 games in desired xp.....woot :D
