Vista DVD not bootable

It certainly seems to point to it being an upgrade version, below is the Installation window that appears on my XP laptop when inserting the DVD while logged in. Any quick way to tell if it's one or the other?

Did you get it from work? If so when?

It's most likely a VLA edition.

Below the e-mail response I received back from the suppplier, with a suggestion I dont think is correct. It seems v strange that a full version of the software would be "non bootable" think i'll try and get a refund on this as it does not seem to fufill what i was looking for.

Thanks for the email.

It is a full version of the software, but the disc is non bootable. You can however create a bootable back up from your current operating system, if you intend to install it onto a blank machine.

That site looks like it's aimed at businesses. It's hard to say if it should be bootable or not without identifying which licnece it's under.
