Vista Experience Index

Hi
My exprience comes out at 5.1 - everything is 5.9 except my ram.

Ram is Corsair 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 Dominator PC2-8500 Dual Channel Kit (yep it set correctly in the bios 5-5-5 etc)
Asus P5N32-E SLi nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard


Is there any obvious reason it is lagging behind ??

Would appreciate any feedback

Why should it be lagging?

Its an index, not a be all and end all.

i have 4gb (4x 1gb) pc6400 cal 5-5-5-18.. its scores it 5.9..

is yours in dual channel mode?

i think thats about right for 2gb ddr400 cas3...

i am sure it goes by the bandwidth and/or the read&write speed of the memory

my hdd gets 5.7

Screen res your running at the time can effect your ram score.
Try running at the lowest res you can & re-run the test.

5.5 isnt that bad, if you had two computers running side by side, on one machine you had a Index score of 5.5 for your HDD and on the other a score of 5.9, but you wouldn't notice the difference.

Anyway 5.9 here for me.

Strange how those with ram ddr400 got 5.0 rating when i got 5.9

I get everything as 5.9 except the cpu which is 5.0

Thing is it is the Quad core extreme so I would have thought that it would be higher, any ideas why it's not?
