Vista Experience Index

So, yesterday I did a fresh format of Vista for a variety of reasons and started fresh.

After installing all my drivers etc., I refreshd the Windows Experience Index score and for some reason its scoring a .1 lower than it did previously on the Memory Transfer rate, and therefore the whole score is brought down to 5.2. Does anybody have any ideas why this might be?

The computer actually feels slower than pre-format as well, but I have done nothing differently.

WEI = rubbish, meaningless and inconsistent. I would not worry about it at all.

the ratings are pointless its only fallen by .1 anyway so it should not be noticeable

That is a 1.9% difference, insignificant as is WEI, I wouldn’t worry about it.

I'm aware its fairly meaningless, but when I started to notice my computer being slower than before I thought I would run the test just to see.

Maybe its just all in my head..
