I am running Vista 32 on an Intel Quad core and everything works fine except for one thing - I cannot use the Control Panel. Every time I try, an 'Explorer has Crashed' message pops up and the machine settles down again but without Control Panel.
I did a re-install a little while ago and got everything back to normal but it didn't last and Control Panel stopped being able to be used. I suppose I should have noted what updates went on and which might have caused it - well looking back that is no obvious but not at the time.
Anyway, anyone got ideas about this and how it might be corrected without a re-install? It is not my main machine, though it is waiting for GTA IV, so a re-install would not be the end of the world.
