When I move a dir structure in Vista it leaves behind the folders. Sometimes it doesn't move all the files either. I merge folders between external HD's quite often so this is a real pain. In Vista I can never be sure I've all the files moved. If I use a 3rd party backup tool instead of windows explorer it also has the problem. Does the same thing on FAT32 and NTFS volumes. Reseting ownership, permissions etc has no effect. Running XP in Virtual PC works perfectly. So its a bug with Vista. Doesn't matter if I'm admin or not. Reinstalled Vista, still have the same problem. Dual booting with XP now and it work fine, as expect in XP, I only have the problem in Vista.
At this point I can't use it anymore unless I get this fixed. I can find people with the same problem on the net but no solutions.
