Vista Folder Question

If I copy a new folder into another folder on my back up drive, is there a way to make it auto arrange the folders automatically in alphabetical order? I do have it set to sort by name.

vista has a mind of its own in that respect. I find it randomly changes the columns, arranged by and icons all the time. It's so irritating.
