Vista freezing every 20 minutes

Hi All,

My Vista Ultimate 32 system randomly freezes/hangs for 10 seconds or so every 20 minutes roughly.

The CPU shoots to 100% on both cores. The process that seems to be causing it just calls itself System. I have tried understanding what it is but I honestly dont know where to begin.

its started doing it a while ago and I have tried looking up lots of info about it but have come to a dead end.

Anyone who knows how to fix this please help me, its driving me nuts!

look in processes in task manager and see if anything is taking up CPU %
if so than that process is your culprit,post back what the name of the process is.

run some anti virus/anti spyware programs you may have a nasty virus taking up a lot of resources on your system.

Try a system restore back to a date where the system was ok and see if the problem is still there.

edit:didnt see that you have already look in processes.
can you post a pic of your processes screen?

Process Explorer should probably be more specific as to what's using the CPU.
