Because it is beta software. Meaning it isnt complete. XP Betas and RC's were exactly the same. vista seems quite a backward step in that its noticable slower at everything compared with xp on the same machine. with the gpu hardware acceleration thing going on, one would think it would be more responsive but it sux :/
I wont be upgrading to vista untill forced to by vista games that are worth playing.
