What's going on here then? When I minimize a window I get what's in the image below. If I click the go to desktop icon you can't see it, but it's in the same place no matter what I minimize.

Tried rebooting 3 times, tried refreshing the desktop and it stays there :\

I have the latest drivers and not sure what 3D flip is.

It only started doing it yesterday and I haven't changed anything.

The weird thing is when I click the shortcut to desktop icon, it isn't there then, it is happens when I minimize something.

what applications do you have running in the background ? It could be that one of them, or one in the icons in the bottom right hand toolbar has a desktop component that has failed to initialise.

It does it whatever application I use, it it's Firefox when I minimize it will leave whatever was in the FF window in that spot, if it's Azureus it'll do the same.

At least it's funny for you Ice :D

I have only ever seen similar stuff when a program is not responding correctly. It can leave a section of the applications window on screen when you close it, such as parts of a web page you were looking at. Check task manager and see if any applications are not responding. Have you recently installed any new apps which load at startup and may not be responding? I would try closing applications or some non vital services one by one in task manager and see if it disappears.
