Vista Half Installed - Need help

OK, i tried installing vista as an update to XP and the install failed.

Now when ever i try to boot my pc it tries to boot Vista instead of XP.

Is there a way to uninstall it so i dont have to chose my os anymore and just tottaly get rid of vista.

I's prefer not to do a format.

How far did it get?
Perhaps it's just a matter of modifying the boot.ini with the right details.

I wouldnt have thought there would be a way to uninstall it though, especially if it failed.
We've been testing Vista the past week or so and the version we have got only has the option to Install rather than upgrade so I've not come across this problem, sorry I cant be of more help

boot from your windows xp cd, go to the repair console and type "fixboot"
