Vista - Halved my drive space?

I have just done a fresh install of Vista over XP Pro with a WD250 drive but when it has finished installing it only showing up as 130g drive?

Has it automatically been partioned? If so where is the other half?

have a look in computer management, and check the drives out, and see whats going on from there.

Things to check are as above and make sure there's no jumper on the drive to limit the drive space.

No jumpers on the drive.

Im not used to Vista. Where is the computer management on VISTA. I know where it is in XP. But cant find it on here.

Device manager shows the hard drive as correct but I can not find the missing other space?

Right click My Computer icon > Manage > (Storage) Disk Management

Thanks. Yeah it has partitioned it. Do I want to put it as a simple volume?

Its currently unallocated

136GB limit may be due to your drive controller, BIOS update for the mobo might help

Doubt that could be it because, your mobo (sig) is a fairly recent/modern one.

Might want to try re-size/re-partition using a program like Acronis Disk Director. Never used the Windows one therefore don't know how it handles the data already on the disk, i.e. there's a risk you could loose/delete what's on your HD.
