Vista help please guys

Hello ive just recieved my Vista Ultimate 64-Bit Edition DVD today from Overclockers , ive run the Vista Upgrade advisor and that says everything is fine but as soon as i put the disc in i get the message

setup cannott run on this version of the operating system,to install windows please try booting from the install media .

any ideas or help greatly appreciatted

You have to run the install by booting from the DVD, not installing while you are running another version of windows.
 
Sorry I know how i sound its just that im sort of reasuring myself as im scared ill muck everything up .

Yes if you aren't sure what you are doing, pause a moment and think, and make sure you aren't going to wipe out any important data.

Yep you can't upgarde a 32 bit os to 64.
Back everything up and reboot with the disk in.
