Hey,

I bought a laptop last January from littlewoods (i know, i know lol) anyway its an HP one, pretty good for what i need it for although i wish it had more ram!

Anyway, my vista got messed up and i wiped it but now all my vista has gone...like completly so i had to install the vista trial only thing is now i cant 'register' my paid for vista (which came with laptop) as i have no disc or details for it.

How can i get vista back, seen as i have legally purchased it with the laptop. Is there a way to contact MS or anything?

Thanks:)

Hi, it's a little unclear as to what you have installed. I know not of a "Vista trial thing". If you are referring to a Vista DVD which came with the PC, then this is your OEM version. Somewhere located on your computer's case, will be the license key sticker with your seriel number. Simply use this number under "Change product key" then attempt to activate over the net. It may not, if so, simply phone the number on screen for telephone activation and go through the activation options. Its actually quite painless and the call is free.

dont forget to get the drivers from the manufacturer's website and update windows.

If the disk is one of those "cough" dvd's, then contact the manufacturer who should be able to send you a replacement or you may only need a "recovery" diskette.
