Vista Home Premium, THE version for us gamers?

I was gonna get Ultimate x64 OEM, but thats fell on its face with driver and other problems.

Now Im tempted at Vista premium, but im not sure wich?

the upgrade retail version looks very good at £140 and you dont need to worry about hardware changes. What would be the pros cons of this compared to the full premium retail for £200?

Is it worth getting premium over ultimate, for us gamers? I also watch movies /footy and stuff too.

Problem is with Ultimate is price.. I could afford an OEM but want to be able to change hardware.

At the mo I have XP Home OEM installed, that has a valid key. Would I be able to use an upgrade version of vista with this?

I see, so it makes no sense to buy upgrade retail for me then. This sucks.

Thanks mate, I think it will have to be home premium retail, £200. But at least I get choice and of x86 and x64, and now know driver signing can be disabled, it looks the right choice.

I prolly wont need the extra features of ultimate anyway.
