Hello People

I have my vista running on my Samsung lcd screen at 1360 x 768 , my desktop icons are very big , anyway i can make them a tuch smaller as i am new to vista

Vista is doing you a favour - don't install the piece of crap! Take it back and get a refund. There are much, much better pieces of software to use: NOD32, Kaspersky etc.

Did you use a previous version of norton before it?
All I can think of is thier uninstall tool from here and try installing it again. Give it a go just incase.
Failing that next step is either get in touch with Symantec support though their website or take it back to where you got it from and try to get a refund so you can purchase something with less problems like nod32 or Kaspersky.

Windows firewall and avira antivir :D

Does the packaging say XP or XP and vista.

If just xp don't even load the disk, go to

www.symantec.com/vistaupdate and download the vista version. You will need the code on the envelope

Point to note the 2007 version is not a pile of ****
Symantec took on board the issues with previous versions

It runs in the background using less than 7MB of RAM

I have systems running many different configurations of AV and firewall and Norton 2007 is not bad (not brilliant maybe but not bad)
