Vista in Network environment question

Scenario: a new desktop PC with Vista Business is delivered. After making it part of the domain what are the default policies on the machine before it picks up anything from the server? I mean, if i was to log in as a non-admin does the UAC kick and things like that?

Hope that makes sense, bit tired today.

I assume it wont have any Global Policies until they have been setup via AD, so the PC will just have its own local policies, UAC etc.
