Hi,

Quick question. Does vista have any issues with the amount of ram you have in the PC on a install. IE, if i have 6gig ram in a PC will VISTA go on, just not use it all, or is this enough to crash vista at the performnce screen?

Should install fine, are your voltages and timmings setup in BIOS correctly.
Possible a faulty stick.

was working with vista on, somethng happened to a logitech driver and killed vista - BSoD mode.

Trying to reinstall vista for a fresh build but when it gets to perfomance check, it crashes out citing memory_managment...

O well, time to take out the sticks and check the cables lol..

I've installed Vista x64 with 8gb in my main home PC no probs.

I do seem to recall some posts ages ago about install problems with Vista and more then 2gb but can't recall the exact problem or details. Get a copy of memtest86+ and give that a run to see what it makes of your memory.

Before SP1 there were many issues with certain machines with 4gb of ram.

Since SP1, there shouldn't be any problems, but if you're having some, try with just 2gb for the install.

What spec is your system?

Could be...

ocz ram that only has 1.8v going through it, it needs 2.2v
