Hi, Vista installed fine, however although it is a new installation, windows will not let me install some programs onto it and I don't know why. It cpo

The programs affected so far:

Some Windows Updates (Net 3.5 SP1 & Office 2007 SP1)
Acronis True Image
Old Windows Live Messenger (I hate the new one)

For the latter two programs it spits out the following error:

Any ideas anyone? I'm sure that both programs have installed fine before.

Always seems people have difficulty answering my questions, I know they're difficult sometimes, but some suggestions would be nice once in a while...

Anyway, I've found out what causes the issue, having wiped the drive again and reinstalled everything. It all works with no issues, until I install my recently bought Red Alert 3. So the issue is the DRM I suppose, and even system restore does not fix it (it's well known that once the drm is installed you cannot get rid of it, bar reformatting or restoring an image). That's great. DRM harms no one does it? ******. Does anyone have any idea on what to do to fix this problem? It basicly means now that if I want to use Acronis True Image, I'll have to use it via xp, which does not have RA3 (and therefore the stupid ****ing DRM) to mess it up, however I would like a fix for vista, so any ideas?

Please?
