Got a quick (hopefully) few questions.

1. How can I transfer my old firefox bookmarks from my old hard-drive on XP to firefox on my new hard-drive on vista. I've located the backup bookmark firefox files from my old HD but I don't know where to put them in vista. I've got firefox installed on vista.

Making a mess at explaining this I think but.

In XP, the bookmark backup files are at:
Documents & Settings > 'username' > application data > Mozilla > Firefox > Profiles > 'profile' > bookmark backups

In Vista, I don't even have a Documents & Settings and I don't have a scooby where to put the bookmark backup file. In firefox I can go to file > import but the only option I get is to import from IE.

2. Same as above except for addons this time. Where can I import them from and where to? :(

3. Do I want Windows Defender left on? I've got Avira running as well....

4. Is Windows Firewall fine or do I need to install an alternative. I'd been using Zonealarm on XP for a few years and thought it was great.

5. Transferred my Steam folder across from my old hard-drive and when I create a shortcut for Steam and try to launch it, I get this error:
Steam.exe (main exception): Unable to write to the current Steam application folder. Please move Steam to a folder where you have write privilages.

Help me please :(

Having problems with Mozilla Backup. It automatically recognises the firefox I have installed at the moment, but doesn't recognise the firefox on my other hard-drive. When I manually browse it, I cannot find any of the files the program says it needs.

EDIT: Added another problem to my list. :(

3. I'd leave Windows Defender on it doesn't scan that often neither does it seem to interfere with my AV (Kaspersky)

4. Windows Firewall is fine. If you're behind a router you're pretty much fine regardless.

Thanks for the advice :)

I think when I used it I just clicked on the backup file itself and it starts to work, I don't have Vista so I carn't help with that.

Yeah, i've had another shot but and it's just recognising the current profile I'm using (with nothing) and not recognising the FF I had on my old hard-drive. When I manually browse using MozBackup I cannot find the file it needs to backup (.pkv/.zip) or something.
