Vista Install Problem

Hi, just installed vista by upgrading from xp. On the first reoboot it goes to the green loading bars and they just keep scrolling across the screen but i dont hear any hard drive activity?

Any help greatly appreciated

emm try bootin in safe mode hold down f8 like what you did in xp and see if it goes in that way

also what version of vista are you using 32bit or 64

Doesnt boot in safe mode... just says loaded file... and hangs on one of those? Its 32bit.

Try disconnecting anything attached the comp, external USB especially, can seem to cause a fair amount of problems, when trying to install.

installed fine... didnt have any thing connected

maybe somthings conflicting with your xp install ie old Gfx drivers or maybe not enough ram but 1 gb **** be fine for vista though
