Vista installation problem - black screen?

Just tried installing Vista on my new rig and after it reboots and says starting vista for the first time the screen just stays black with a white cursor and nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Re-install

I had that, just reinstalled again and it works fine

sometimes it takes a while..

remove all non essential usb things, like extra drives and printers etc

just leave it for 5 mins, it should work..

tried re-installing and left it for nearly an hour,still the same problem.

Finally worked on the 6th attempt!
