Hi all, hoping you can help. I'm preparing to re-install XP onto a new hard-drive I've got, and want to set a partition dedicated to Windows and my program files, as I've got now. However, I want to plan ahead for Vista (won't switch for a good few months, though), so what size is the average Vista installation likely to be? I'll probably be using Home Premium, if that helps things.
My current partition for XP is 20GB, but I do the stupid thing and keep My Documents and a 1.5GB downloads folder on that partition too (my music, games etc are all on other drives or partitions). If I were to change my ways and keep my documents and downloads on another partition or drive and just leave the Windows partition for Windows itself and whatever programs I install, what size partition would you recommend? 15GB maybe? Just don't want Vista to be choked on space at a later time, and I don't like the idea of resizing existing partitions after they're created either.
Thanks for any help.
