i did post this in general hardware but no one replyed

can some one tell me what the final installation size is for 64bit ultimate?

as i wanna install it tonight so i need to change my hard drive partitons :confused:

Big, pretty sure mine is a good 20GB.

Always had a 40GB partition for my OS, used to have tons of space for stuff with XP, but Vista eats at least half of it.
 
I'd set it higher than that to be honest if you want to install apps to c:, there is a folder that continues to grow as you use the system c:\windows\winsxs. My one is now bigger than the rest of my windows folder put together. Not sure how this continues long term but it is a little worrying. You can't delete any of it either and i'm stuck with a 30gb partition at the moment.
 
hmm, i just set it to 50GB on my C: but i dont intend to put programs there, you never know tho
i am now running vista 64 and it flipping flyes!
