Vista Installation

Im not too good with software so i need a bit of help..ive got two partitions on my 200gb hd..if i were to install vista on my system partition would i lose the information on the other partition? or would those stay in place?

and is x86 32bit or 64bit?

x86 is the 32bit version.

And no you won't lose the stuff on the other partition.
