Vista internet problem

For some reason every so often IE in vista stops loading pages and comes up with the "unable to find website page". This stays like that until I restart and fiddle around a bit. The weird thng is I can still ping my router and external websites no problem, even messenger is fine unless I actually want to talk to anyone then it comes up with "one or more recipients cannot..." Any idea why as it is really rather annoying! :rolleyes:
 
I've had a similar problem, connection is fine but every now and then get a pop up saying that there is no available connection and a choice of work off-line or retry, click retry and it continues fine, the connection is fine as I check it in task manager and it shows no drop and its fine if I boot to xp.

Its very strange and has happened with the latest Vista build as well as the previous one.
 
I've had this too on the last two builds. Strangest part was that with 5472 it was fine on my home pc, and then fine on my work pc on a workgroup, nut as soon as I put the work pc onto the domain it had the problem.

Ok it's now got weirder and weirder. It seems to sort itself out after a few hours then goes again another few hours later, seemingly randomly. :confused: As I said before I can ping websites and MSN is still connected but I cant browse the net using IE or connect to a remote desctop computer during that time. :confused:
 
I imagine everyone is still on pre-RC1 builds but RC1 was released late last night I believe, guess we'll see if this build does the same.

Last night.... :(

I have only just finished downloading 5552.... :p

I am also having these problems with t'internet, I can access most sites apart from google and MSN. Messenger worked last night but not now.
