Just installed vista, and now for some reason I can't get apps to see my ipv6 network. I can sit here and ping ipv6 targets, but things like firefox, thunderbird etc all refuse to connect to ipv6 endpoints, whereas they had no problem in winxp.

Any ideas what the issues could be?

I feel your pain. I have a Thomson Speedtouch 585 router and my Vista notebook can't file share with my Win XP network.

I'm not sure what could be causing your issue but I'll be interested to hear what people have to say.

You run ipv6 at home? Any advantages, besides 2 octets more and being able to IP address every molecule in your house?

Not really. I do it for the same reason I have silly hardware and unnecessarily complicated network layouts - to learn about such things :)
