it depends on your hardware...

personly vista is worth it, its really good.. some people will say its good (like me) and some people will say it's crap.....

but its up to u really...

Actually it mainly depends on your needs - At the end of the day, an OS is there to enabled you to run programs and manipulate files (easily)...

If for example XP enables you to do this, why upgrade? :) I'm certainly happy with XP for the moment... And suspect I'll only upgrade because I have to (with my next machine)...

some people want the latest things and wanna try new things or have something all in one like Windows Media Center.. so actually it depends on your system too.

because maybe some people may want it but they system may not run it well.

I have just upgraded my laptop from Windows XP Media to Windows Vista 32bit premium - I absolutely love it so far and wouldn't even consider going back to XP. Everything looks much nicer, it's easier to use, I have had barely any problems with it at all and it feels more secure.

'easier to use' :)

That depends on what you use if for. I suspect my icons for Outlook and Firefox will be just as easy to click in XP as in Vista :)

I've tried Vista for nearly 2 weeks, but had to go back to XP.

It's not quite there yet for me, it's a great OS, but like XP was when it first came out, it's a little rattly in some places. Lack of multi monitor support bugs me, you still need Ultramon to get taskbars for each monitor and the added features, but the latest ultramon is buggy in Vista.

I'm going to wait until SP1 until I migrate to Vista properly.

apart from all the fancy interface, is it actually worth upgrading to Vista?

what can the Vista do the Xp can't? Can you say it is stable as OSX ? and less prone to viruses like the OSX?

personally i would say vista is just as save as xp, at the end of the day everyone will have vista soon so microsoft will concentrate keeping vista more up to date security wise?
