ok i had trouble with some hidden files in the documents folder of my user area. i deleted the documents folder and created a new one. since then it seems games for example will no longer write to the documents folder. i can make a change in PES09 settings file which is in the documents folder and it fails to save it without error. i untick the 'readonly' tab, but each time i go back to documents it's read only again.... no backup either not sure what is going on!
