I have got an issue with my MS Vista !
Last week my Vista went of the rails in that that I had a load of errors and warnings that sector space was damage !
This was around the same time I had 18 updates and the Anti Virus found a Trojan on it’s scan !
I have some Seagate HDD’s so I have downloaded and run the Seagate diagnostic tools which have returned results indicating my HDD are all working fine !
So the problem must be with MS Vista I thinks !
Some of the problems were that my desk top icons & documents ( files which I had stored on my desk top as I use them a lot ) and my desk top picture went black / blank ( so I have reset this, easy enough ), my quick launch buttons have gone ( I am still trying to resolve this ), icon’s and files on my desk have disappeared !
I can not fine them in Recycle Bin, or any other folder
!
One of my HDD ( which is a data drive ) shows in Windows explorer, yet when I click on it the message I get is ‘This Folder is Empty’ !
However when I do a virus scan it scans the files on the drive I can not see, also when I right click on the HDD the General Tap shows me how full the HDD is with data ! !
So, how do I get my folder contents back, and how do I get my icons and desk top documents back please ! ?
