Hi all,
I have a Dell XPS M1530 laptop, all is fine and dandy but sometime ago I tried out Kubuntu and although it's quite good I have some issues with my 3G mobile internet (as in I don't know which network I am connecting to). As I'm not using it and getting a bit low on space on my main partition (removed load of rubbish already) I'd like to remove it and get back the space I had allocated. I've been looking online and it seems you can delete the Linux partition and fix the MBR using the Vista disc but I'm living abroad and don't have this around and anyway it's the Dell restore disc so not sure what's actually on there and if I can do that anyway...
Friend of mine has a Windows 7 beta disc and I have my own key from registering so I'm wondering if I could use that to fix the MBR? Could I install Win7 over Kubuntu or does anyone know any other safe way of getting rid of Kubuntu? I don't have my backup drive either otherwise I'd wipe the whole lot and start again, any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dean
