Hi,
VMC frequently crashes to the desktop and I've no idea why. I've recently installed a new HDD, an xbox 360 wireless controller and GTA4 but other than that nothing has changed.
When it dies, it simply crashes out to desktop. This is always when trying to use the remote or keyboard, if I manage to get it to a channel it'll work ok.
If I check event viewer I get this which corresponds to every crash:
.NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.1434 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (000006427F8A3E48) (80131506)
Anyone come across this before? I tried to install .net 2.0 x64 but it just said that this already comes as part of the OS.
I'm using Vista x64, have made a couple of modifications to VMC (e.g. making it use ffdshow for live TV) but these have worked fine for months. I can't figure out whats happened, the only thing I can think of is that GTAIV may have messed with some .NET files, as it says it is a requirement on the back of the box.
Any ideas?
