Is this some kind of licensing issue? or just something im missing.... Cheers

The MS MPEG2 decoder is as choppy as hell in a window but this may have something to do with the Nvidia 8800GTX drivers. 2. My Hauppauge dual tuner DVB-T card seems to work great! 3. Nvidia Purevideo seems to give a better picture and no choppyness, seems to break dvd playback in WMP11 (not Media Center itself though) 4. DXVA doesn't seem to work in Media Center. 5. Purevideo loses it's receiver setting all the time and defaults back to stereo! Some handy stuff I've found:- Decoder Utililty http://mediacenterexpert.blogspot.com/2006/07/vista-media-center-decoder-utility.html DVD Library http://nilesh.officeisp.net/blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=3 XML for you movies http://www.dvdxml.com/news.php HEADRAT

I also had the same problem with the MS decoder, and as you have done ive installed Purevideo which seems to have solved the problem.
