Vista Media Centre

Yeah you can record tv onto your pc using media centre.
You need a media centre compat tv card basically.

Something cheap like this is what ive got and it works great..

Ive now got a VirginMedia + box (sky+) basically so i dont use the media centre pc to record tv anymore, but i use it to record programs off the V+ box and then i can burn them to dvd :)

If you want to just hook it up to your sky box get the PVR150 as above. (svideo to svideo)
If you want to get freeview on it, get a decent aerial and one of these

you can then watch one channel and record another at the same time.

Windows Media Centre comes with Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Vista Ultimate. It doesn't come with Windows Vista Home Basic or Windows Vista Business. (Obviously it's also a crucial part of Windows XP Media Centre Edition)

It's an application that's included and integrated with Windows.
