I have 1Gig of DDR PC2700. 512Mb SS and 512Mb DS. I am unable to get my mobo (Asus) to run dual channel because of the DS/SS problem. I am only getting 3.4 in the Vista Subscore. I get the feeling this is too low as other people have the same memory (PC2700) but with a score of 4.2. My memory is really letting me down (no puns please) as the other subscores average around 4.6.
I only have a 939 board. What would be the cheapest way of increasing my subscore?
Would getting PC3200 make much a difference (AMD 64 3500+ Single core)
Would getting another 512mb of either DS or SS make a difference (So I can go dual channel)
Is my subscore too low, and should I see if a BIOS setting or Config setting is causing this?
