Vista - monitor 'flashing' ?

This never happened in XP - and I am using the same CRT and reoslution.

When I play a movie in Media Player Classic the monitor sort of flashes as though it is changin resolution when I put on/off MPC

Any dieas why this is? I am on 1024x 768

Is this to do with MPC or the way Vista 'talks' to your monitor - or what?

when i did briefly try vista... this same thing happened but only when i was in a game and i had alt-tabbed.. at the desktop or anything it would flash .. but only if i had a game open that was minimized.. very strange.. still dont know the cause of it im guessing it may have been to do with nvidias AWFUL vista drivers.. ofc i accept that theyre awful until vista has been properly released commercially

I have an nVidia card as well... maybe that could be it I guess

I had a TFT on this PC briefly and the change was much more noticeable and the monitor made a noise so I hope it gets sorted!
