Vista mouse stopped working!

Hey guys,

I have been happily running vista 64 for a few months now, untill my old mouse was broken bought a new one and vista will not accpet it!

For that matter any mouse i try has the same problem it claims

HID-compliant error comes up saying contact manufacturer

Its a microsoft mouse i installed the lastest 64bit version of the intellipoint software but no joy.

I would have thought a microsoft mouse wouldnt have problems with vista how wrong can i be!

any thoughts would help thanks

its got worse!

hey guys,

It will now not reconise any user input device have tryed 3 mice and 4 keyboards, they all work on my XP PC and the keyboard works in the bios etc

any ideas
