well if it won't let me activate the second install that is a bummer. no way am i buying vista retail twice.
ms have always accepted the fact that people do this in the past, and only really bothered about people installing one copy on tons of computers in an office.
they should lighten up. don't they make enough cash. i don't care if i'm violating their poxy eula. i expect them to tolerate it being used on 2 machines. i have purchased adobe acrobat, photoshop, and golive, and adobe let you install all of these on 2 machines. ms can **** off.
well thanks for the feedback. i can't say i'm happy with the prospect of having a copy of windows that is truely locked to one machine, but i'll keep watching what is happening over the next few months. i have not bought vista yet, but i intend to once all driver issues and suchlike are fixed.
was finished there but one other thing occurs to me and it might be worth mentioning. i have never ever run a cracked copy of windows. i know how to crack it but i don't want to do it. and the fact that i could use one copy for both machines stopped me feeling angry at ms. now i deffo feel angry, and i wonder if they are trying to encourage people to crack their os. ms know, and we know, that cracks are easy to find.
mods, if the mention of cracks is against the rules, then go ahead and delete this
