I installed Vista Ultimate on my Xeon (sig) to see how the performance would be due to the said better mutli-tasking and multi-processor awareness of the new OS, I just couldn't help to try HL2 Garrys Mod to see if it helped with tons of props in the game so I checked the task manager and it was only loading one core at max and the rest were idle
It also got a 5.9 rating for quad core and my E6600 got 5.6... thats a bit dodgy as well. Oh well I just thought that ain't right because HL2 on my E6600 loads both cores at half and not just one at max. It had the drivers for the 5000X chipset in too and everything else was fine
