Has anyone got a clue why when copying files to or from my Vista machine, the transfer seems to be capped at 1 megabyte per second? I'm using the same Belkin wifi card that I was using in XP. XP used to give several megabytes per second (pretty sure it was into double figures). I've checked all the obvious things like drivers, hotfixes and I've got Vista SP1 installed. I tried searching around but the only thing I could find was issues of systems hanging at the "calculating time remaining stage". Mine goes through the calculating period in about a second, but then then the actual transfer is so damn slow. 1 gigabyte takes about 25 mins. It's quicker to burn to dvd and then walk to the other machine.
