Vista not keeping my 'view' settings :(

I’m having issues with my file/view layout with my music folder guys, it might sound a little anal, but i kind of like the music folder to be in ‘list’ view, then when i click on the artist i get the thumbnail to see the album cover and finally after clicking on the thumbnail of the album i go back to list view, went through all my music having a tidy up and did this, but it has only remember the layout on about 40% of the music folder, it’s seems quite random ! any ideas?

BTW, NONE of the early fixes work perm.

Reason being Vista Dev's made a boob and the files are in the wrong place, the files you change do nothing perm they are still in same old place as XP.

The peep in the top link above found this out and the 2nd link above has now been revised to correct this.
