Vista & on-board sound

Have just installed Vista onto a new machine based on a Gigabyte P35-DS3L motherboard.

Vista has detected the on-board sound and installed its own drivers for it which is working fine.

Now the problem I have is that I don't have any advanced control over the sound hardware, just a simple volume control. I'm reluctant to download the audio drivers from Gigabyte's site as they're rather old and I'd much rather use Vista's own drivers as robustness is a priority here. All I want is the ability to control the audio hardware in a bit more detail than I currently have, such as the control you get when you install a discrete sound card.

What's best to do here? Do I have no choice other than to install the older drivers to get more control over the audio?

Hi, think I was getting confused - must have seen the UAA driver before - think I'll install those ones from the Gigabyte site :)
