Vista or XP?

Battlefield 2 blows with Vista. If that is a game you play a lot, dont even think about it. Memory errors after every map, EA dont want to know. Their response to my email about it was:

"Dear Sir, Battlefield was made for XP not Vista. Cya"

So ive dual booted, XP for Battlefield, Vista 64 bit for everything.

also dont get vista if you play supreme commander.
crashes after 5 minutes, or 30 minutes, which is worse as youve gotten into the game.

microsoft need to stop talking smack and start sorting this stuff out, they have had PLENTY of time now.

you would think a multibillion dollar company would be a little more interested into developing the software that is helpng them to make even more money

Jono have a look on an auction site. I got 32bit home premium upgrade for £40. Sure you can get 64bit for around the same. Ive only had problems with two games. BF2142 and flatout 2. BF keeps kicking by punkbuster. And the disc security on flatout 2 totally fubared vista so i had to repair with vista disc.

Im running ultimate 64. Its brilliant. My PC is in my bedroom and doubles as a media center. Premium and ultimate both come with media centre.

have ordered the student home premium retail upgrade (which i think is 32 bit and 64 bit), was a scheap as chips, and ive read everywhere that you can do clean installs with upgrade disks simply by installing vista on a clean hard drive as a 30 day trial and then upgrading vista with vista with the upgrade key and then delete the old install.
