Vista & Partitions

I am trying to split my 400gb hard drive into 2 partitions. 150gb for the OS and 250 for other stuff. Using vista's Disk management the max I can shrink the OS partition by is 110gb, where am I going wrong?

Firstly, if the smaller partition is for the OS only, you don't need more than 20GB.

ok, any idea how i can shrink it with vista? It said something about not being able to shrink much if there is a pagefile on the drive, can I disable the pagefile or something?

I'm not using Vista but in XP it's System\Advanced\Performance\Advanced\Virtual Memory.

Shouldn't be much different for you. IDK.
