Vista password - forget help please.

hi all my friend has forgot his password for his vista user account is there any way at all to get around it or will he have to format his computer then reinstall windows?

There is plenty of third party windows password recovery software available online. All of them are designed to create a windows password recovery disk. You could choose one of them to recover windows password.

Here are some of them:

i have used a few, but ophcrack is by far the easiest.
just download the image http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/download.php and then burn it to a cd with imgburn,
pop in cd.
then go into bios and change the boot order to cd/dvd drive first.
ophcrack is virtually automatic.
give it 5 mins and it will tell you the passwords for any account
