how do i reset a vista password, everything i find on google says create a password recovery disk but that requires you to log in ?

i downloaded the live cd and ran that but realised it was using the xp tables. i then downloaded the vista free tables and ran that but it still can't find the password. it also mentions vista special tables but i cant find them to download

ophcrack only finds passwords if they use a-z and 0-9 (ie, not if you have @) in a password -unless you pay for the pro version

as an outsider, it looks like you've got a stolen laptop tbh

the laptops not mine its my bro's g/f

all i know is it contains all lower case, may contain numbers and is under 10 chars
